Anna M. Shoemaker, 70, of 1690 Long's Gap Road, Carlisle, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community, South Middleton Township
Born Aug. 8, 1934, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Oren and Florence Bear.
Mrs. Shoemaker was retired from the Church of God Home, Carlisle, and had assisted her husband in the operation of the family farm.
She was a member of Waggoner's United Methodist Church and a member of the North Middleton Senior Citizens. She was a bingo player who enjoyed taking bus trips with the senior citizens.
Mrs. Shoemaker is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert C. Shoemaker; four daughters, Bonnie Waggoner and Diane Shoemaker, both of Carlisle, Barbara Rourke of McVeytown and JoAn Conners of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Waggoner's United Methodist Church, 1271 Long's Gap Road, Carlisle, with the Rev. Tim Funk officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Future Fund of her church, 1271 Long's Gap Road, Carlisle, PA 17013.
