Funeral services for Corilla Kearney Benson were held at 2:30 p.m. at First Christian Church in Fulton, Mo.

Mrs. Benson died Sunday, July 31, 1972 at Callaway Memorial Hospital. She was born August 27, 1918, at Cooter, the daughter of the late W.O. and Linnie Browning Kearney. She was a member and former Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member and former Noble Grand Matron of Rebekah Lodge and past state president of the Ladies Auxiliary Patriarch Militant Association of Missouri.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Fulton and had served as church secretary for the past seven years. She was also president of the Christian Women's Fellowship and the Lillian B. Jameson Class at her church and secretary of the board of directors and secretary of the Fulton Council of Churches.

She was married to Donald Benson December 25, 1942. They had lived in Fulton since 1946.

She is survived by her widower; one daughter, Donna Raye Benson of the home; a twin sister, Mrs. Drusilla Adams, Memphis; sisters: Mrs. Nell Jennings, Memphis; Mrs. LaVerne Chandler, Jacksonville, Texas; Mrs. Lorene Wagster and Mrs. Wilmeth Edwards, both of Cooter.

The Rev. Raymond McCallister officiated at the service and burial was at Callaway Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Velt Jones, Parker Jenkins, Whit Griffith, G.W. Stark, Clyde Evans and Earl Sullivan.

Browning Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
