Ethel Irene Barnes, 65, of Route 2, Cottageville, died on Sunday in Jackson General Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Oakland, MD, a daughter of the late Samuel King and Mary Butler King. She is survived by her husband, Ernest L Barnes of Tampa, FL; three stepsons, Ernest L Barnes III of Tampa, Charles K Barnes of Ravenswood and Ray S. Barnes of Ashland, KY; four step daughters, Mrs. Delores Snyder of Ravenswood, Mrs. Carmelita Bigger of Cadiz, OH, Mrs. Lora Bosworth of Klamath Falls, OR, and Mrs. Judith Largen of Fort Smith AK, ; a brother, Ralph King of Philadelphia, PA. Services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Casto Funeral Home in Evans with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
