Lucia (Lu) Alice Peschl was born on Sept. 12, 1912. She lived her entire life in Oklahoma City and passed away at the age of 95, October 25, 2007. Lu (as her friends called her) was a very special lady with a great sense of humor and wit. She loved to visit and never met a stranger. She belonged to many clubs, social and church organizations during her life. The true love of her life was her family. She adored her daughters: Carol Hawley and Nancy Love, their husbands Bill and Jerry, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Lu was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, John Peschl and her precious daughter, Carol Hawley. Special thanks from the family to Marjorie Polk and Mary Ann Turner (nieces) for their many phone calls and visits. Also for the deep compassion and loving care given by the staff at Shepherd Manor Retirement Center and Holiday Heights Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent to Shepherd Manor, 901 N.W. 25th, Okla. City, Okla. 73106.
