The husband of Barbara Sollenberger and son of Mary (Whisler) and Joseph Burkholder - Near Oak Grove, Franklin Co., Pa., Jos. Burkholder died at his home of infirmities of old age, Apr 2, 1909; he was born in Cumberland Co., Pa., Sept. 20, 1826; aged 82 y. 6 m. 13 d.

At the age of 28 he was married to Barbara Sollenbarger. To this union were born nine children, two of whom, with the mother preceded him to the spirit world.

He is survived by four daughters, three sons, 40 grandchildren, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services at the Strasburg Mennonite Church of which he was a member. Services conducted by Henry Bricker and Jos. H. Martin.
