Mary Scamman, first wife of Horatio Eleazer Huntington comes from the following book, originally published in 1915 and available online: The Huntington Family in America: A Genealogical Memoir of the Known Descendants of Simon Huntington from 1633 to 1915...published by the Huntington Family Association, Hartford CT.

On page 333 (digitally shown as p. 337) we read: "1.2. 5. 4. 2. 4. 10. 6. Horatio Eleazer Huntington, born September 24, 1853, in Columbus, N. Y.; married in 1885, in Osage, Iowa, Mary, daughter of William Scamman. She was born in Bangor, Me., and died in Annandale, Minn., in 1888. He married, second, in 1895, in St. Paul, Minn., Euphemia, daughter of John and Helen (Simpson) Bell. She was born on Prince Edward Island. He is a merchant, and lived in Osage, Iowa, from 1860 to 1877; Willmar, Minn., from 1877 to 1887 ; Annandale, Minn., 1887 to 1892; Spokane, Wash., 1892 to 1900; Roseburg, Ore., 1900 to 1907, and now lives in Kennewick, Wash. They are Presbyterians."

Note that the book has Mary's birthplace as Bangor, ME, and the info on her memorial says Saco, ME.
