Robert W Benner 86,of Richlandtown,died Sept.13 in Phoebe Richland Health Center,Richlandtown.He was the husband of Melba V (Slotter) Benner.He worked for the Quakertown Community School District as a custodian for 20 years before retiring.Previosly he was a presser for the former Harvey Clothing Co.Quakertown for 25 years. Born in Richlandtown,he was the son of the late William and Gertrude (Kramer) Benner.He served with the Army during World War11.He was a mmber of St.Johns United Church of Christ,Richlandtown.He also was a member of the Forrest Lodge V.F.W.;Sellersville,the Coopersburg Fire Company Social quarters and a life member of the Richlandtown Fire Company.Survivors:Sons,Dalton,Jerry and wife Donna,Durrell and wife Susan all of Coopersburg;eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.He was predrceased by a son Dale.
