Professional Hockey Player. A native of Montreal, Quebec, he was the brother of famous hockey player Sprague Cleghorn. At 5'09", and 185lbs, Cleghorn played the position of Right Wing for teams in the NHL, CAHL, USAHA, St. Cup, Exhib, and the NHA hockey leagues. He played for the Montreal Westmount from 1908 to 1909, New York Wanderers from 1909 to 1910 Renfrew Millionaires from 1910 to 1911, East All-Stars from 1911 to 1912, Montreal Wanderers from 1911 to 1918, Montreal Canadiens from 1918 to 1925, and the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1925 to 1929, which he was also Head Coach of. Cleghorn passed away on July 13, 1956, at the age of 64, just two days after his brother Sprague, and only a few hours before the funeral.
