Services for David Hollowell, 56 of Thorndale formerly of Taylor will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will follow in the Salty Cemetery near Thorndale. Pastor James Mann of St. Paul Lutheran Church will officiate.
Visitation for David will be 6PM to 8PM Friday August 3rd, at the funeral home.

David Hollowell was born December 12, 1955 to Orby Gene and Bernice J. (Moehnke) Hollowell in Taylor. He was a graduate of Taylor High School and a graduate of Durham's Business College. He was a member of West Taylor Immanuel Lutheran Church. His parents moved to Thorndale, but David stayed in Taylor until December 2011 when he moved to Thorndale to be with his mom during her illness.
David was a cabinet painter for Chatsworth Products in Georgetown. He was on his way to work Tuesday morning, July 31st, when he became ill and was taken to the Scott & White Hospital in Round Rock where he passed away. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice on January 19, 2012.
Surviving David is his father, Orby Gene Hollowell of Thorndale. A brother, Michael Hollowell and wife Nancy of Shiloh. Three sisters, Carol Pitts and husband Richard of Shiloh, Brenda Hoffman and husband Shane of Thorndale, Karen Gomez and fiancee Jose Corona of Cameron along with several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
