Survived by his wife, Lorraine Helg Bergeron, Ponchatoula; two sons, Thomas J. Bergeron Jr., Woodville, Miss., and Timothy D. Bergeron, Ponchatoula; an adopted daughter, Koren Bernhardt, Ponchatoula; a daughter, Julie A. Bergeron, Ponchatoula; four granddaughters, Michelle Spell, Rachael Bergeron, Krysalias Bernhardt and Alexis Bernhardt; and five brothers, Philip Bergeron Jr., Independence, Oliver Bergeron, Hammond, Jesse Bergeron, Springfield, Morris Bergeron, Independence, and Louis Bergeron, Baton Rouge.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Lynn Bergeron; a brother, George Bergeron; and parents, Philip and Julia Lemay Bergeron.
He was grand knight of Knights of Columbus Father Vander Hayden Council 4874 in Ponchatoula.
