Henry was born in Muskegon, Michigan, and married Ethel Sadie Postma on December 3, 1943, while serving in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. After his discharge, they made the Muskegon area their home and raised their family. He was a farmer, and a member of New Era Christian Reformed Church. He enjoyed family get-togethers, traveling and camping. He passed away in Rothbury, Michigan, and is survived by his wife, Ethel; four children, Dick (Judy) Walhout, Norma (Ben) Wieringa, Barb Youngs, and Shari (Pete) Eilers; several grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois.
