Note: She was born Ida Myrtle Brady but she said she didn't use Ida because her sister, Ida May, was "loose with the men" so she didn't want to be mistaken for her.
Her husband, Bishop Charles William Gilles, preceded her in death.
She is survived by four daughters, Ruth Hoult and Veda Fry, both of Rivesville, Lora Tupes of Parkersburg and Shirley Tennant of South Farmington; one sister-in-law, Pearl Gillis of Rivesville; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles W. Gilles, Jr.
She was a homemaker and a protestant.
Friends will be received at the DeGarmo Funeral Home, Second and Jasper streets, Rivesville, Wednesday from 11 a.m - 9p.m. and Thursday from 10a.m. 0 2p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 2p.m. with the Rev. Charles Gillespie officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.
