Herbert F. Quarders, born September 7, 1924, in LaCrosse, WA, passed away at the age of 80 on September 13, 2004, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
He had been a resident of Pasco since 1949.

Herb is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn, and his doxie, Fritzie; daughter, Sandi Conner of Kent, WA; son, Steve Quarders and wife, Dale of Kent, WA; daughter, Susan Miller and husband, Guy of Pasco, WA; daughter, Shelly Lahtinen and husband, Mike of Kennewick, WA; daughter, Sherry Erlenbush and husband, Alan of Renton, WA; brothers, Melvin Quarders of Pasco, WA, Gail Quarders and wife, Blanche of Newport, WA; grandchildren, Stacy Brinkley; Ryan Brinkley (Shawna), Marcie Willman (Jon), Jessica Quarders, Craig Quarders, Troy Miller (Marci), Tracie Hobson (Lance), Mike Misek (Carina), Chris Misek, Laura Schouviller, Roseaili Smith (Eric), Sarah Lahtinen, Lindsay Erlenbush, Derek Erlenbush, Tyler Erlenbush; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank and Bertha Quarders; brother, Gilbert Pierce; sisters, Ethel Watson, Pauline Pierce, Cleo Farrell and Lenore Berry.

Herb graduated from Sprague High School in 1942. He then joined the Army and was a World War II veteran serving in Italy.

He was past president and a member of the Millwright's local 1699 since 1962.
He retired in 1985 from Exxon-Siemens.

He also was a member of the Franklin County Historical Society and the Senior Citizen Center.
His greatest joys were spending time with his family. He was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman and loved to camp outdoors. He also enjoyed making his weekly trips to Wildhorse Casino.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Mid-Columbia Kidney Center, 117 S. 3rd Ave., Pasco, WA 99301 or Franklin County Historical Society, 305 N 4th Ave., Pasco, WA 99301 or Pasco Senior Center.

A viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday, September 16, 2004, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Columbia Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 17, 2004, at Columbia Memorial Chapel.

Graveside services to follow at Columbia Memorial Gardens.
