The following news items relate to Julius and his family in the years they lived in northeast Wisconsin.

26 September 1902, Algoma Record.
Forestville. Julius Krause has the largest wind mill on his farm that can be found in this locality. The mill does all the pumping, feed cutting, grinding and in fact all the farm work, beside furnishing power for his lath and shingle mill, which requires 15 horse power. Julius turns out on an average of 3,000 lath in 10 hours running which is considered pretty good work for the outfit he has.

The home of Julius Krause was made happy last Friday by the arrival of a son.

9 January 1903 Algoma Record
Julius Krause returned last week from North Dakota where he purchased a 640 acre farm. On December 30th he sold 80 acres of timber land in Section 22 of the town of Forestville to Gustav and Fred Krieger, Mr. Krause still has 100 acres in the eastern part of this town, the land being well improved and has nearly all the late farm machinery, and also has a lath and shingle mill on the place. Jule is one of our well to do grangers.

Forestville. The farm of Julius Krause was last week purchased by Herman Boettcher, and the price paid $9,800. There are 160 acres, and the property was first entered by Julius Bernhardt of the county seat about fifty years ago. The latter sold the place five or six years ago for $4,500, being less than one-half of the price that it brought a few days ago.

Forestville. H. O. Dahl recently sold his farm in the Carnot district to Julius Krause for $7,000. There are 80 acres with buildings, and the property stood Mr. Dahl $4,000 at the time he purchased a few years ago. He on Tuesday removed his family and household goods back to Sawyer, which was his former home. Mr. Krause has taken possession of the purchase. He was up to about a month ago the owner of the Julius Bernhardt farm, which was bought by Herman Boettcher, who paid $9,800 therefor. Farm property continues to command a high figure in Forestville judging from what has taken place along this line during the past few years.

Forestville. Julius Krause is operating his wood-sawing machine among the farmers of both town and village, and his advent is hailed with delight by the female members of the household, for seasoned fuel and plenty of it means much to them in the conduct of the culinary department.

Forestville. Julius Krause with a crew of men is sawing wood for the farmers around here and he has engagements ahead to keep him busy for many weeks to come.

Forestville. Julius Krause is going to erect a residence on his lot near the corners this summer and is looking for a purchaser to whom he can dispose of his farm.

Disposed of Farm. Julius Krause recently disposed of his farm at Carnot, to W. Stichman of Maplewood. Consideration $8,100. The latter has already taken possession of his newly acquired property, which consists of 100 acres with fine buildings upon it. Mr. Krause has decided to take up his residence at Forestville, as he owns a fine residence there.

Forestville. Julius Krause and family are preparing to leave soon for Edmundson, Canada, where they will make their future home. Mr. Krause, who has been in that locality several months, returned last week for this purpose. He owns considerable land near the city of Edmondson.

Forestville. William Rankin has had a crew of men busy all the week moving the barn which he recently purchased of Mr. Krause, from the Krause land to his hotel property. It is understood that Joseph Meyer purchased the J. Krause property on Monday for residence purposes.

Forestville. Mr. and Mrs. Julius Krause left for Pea Vine Prairie, Canada this week.

Forestville. H. C. Darling and family have moved into the residence formerly occupied by Julius Krause and family.

Julius Krause and family departed last Friday for Canada, where Mr. Krause has taken up a homestead, and will remain in the future. The best wishes of the family's numerous friends here follow them to their destination.
