Minnie Scott Young Hopson was the mother of Gladys & Cleo. She had 4 grandchildren that remember her as their favorite. She was helpful in getting a church started in Corpus Christi, by letting her home be used each Sunday. They met in her house till they outgrew it, then bought property on Brownlee and called themselves "First Assembly of God". She lived in the house right behind the church. First Assemby of God is now at 3401 S. Alameda.
