Seth Elliott Budge, 94, of North Logan, Utah, was born March 27, 1912 in Paris, Idaho to Mary Roberts and Seth Budge. He passed away on July 3, 2006 in Logan, Utah. Elliott was the oldest of five children including Rex Budge, Grant Budge, Jean and Ann Bushman. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, brothers: Grant and Rex and sister, Jean. He was also preceded in death by his lovely wife, Helen Budge; sons: Richard Budge, David Budge, Larry Budge, Gordon Budge and only daughter: Venice Wilkerson. What a joyous reunion he must be having! He is survived by his sister, Ann Bushman of Lehi, Utah and 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Elliott was married for all time and eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple to his high school sweetheart, Helen Hulme on November 23, 1932. They were married five months shy of their 70th wedding anniversary, when his dear Helen departed to the other side. Elliott graduated with his Bachelors Degree in Geography from Utah State University, Logan, Utah in 1938; and then received his Masters Degree from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah in 1950. He continued his graduate work at the University of Minnesota. Elliott taught elementary and secondary school for 43 years. He was the President of Granite Teachers Board of Education for one year and a member for ten years. He was also an Adjunct Professor at Weber State University, Ogden, Utah and at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah. Elliott enjoyed being a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for ten years, as well as directing the Mendalson Choir of Provo, Utah for twelve years. The Imperial Glee Club of Cache Valley was a joy for him to be a part of for several years until the age of 92. He served as a ward clerk for many years in Provo, and in the Temple there as an officiator for fifteen years. He also served in the Logan Temple for four years. Our Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Great-Great Grandfather and dear friend will be greatly missed as well as cherished in our hearts. Elliott fought the good fight and now can enjoy the fruits of his labors here on earth with his eternal family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2006 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Viewings will be held Thursday evening, July 6, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
