FRED VARVEL, 40 YEAR CITY RESIDENT, DIES--
Fred R. Varvel, 60, of 615 NW 23, died of cerebral hemorrhage Monday afternoon at Polyclinic Hospital. A native of Missouri, he had lived here 40 years and was employed by the Collins-Dietz-Morris Wholesale Grocery 37 years, Varvel was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Emma Varvel, home address; one son, Sgt Bert Varvel, Camp Lee, VA; and a daughter, Mrs Minnie Maddox, 2201 NE 15.
