Lillie Gard born August 27, 1863 - died November 27, 1895, of consumption. She was born in Cass County, Illinois. She married E. R. Rice and they had a son, Orpha Rice who died while still young.

Thursday, November 28, 1895, the portals of the tomb were opened to receive all that was mortal of Mrs. Lillie Rice, beloved wife of E. R. Rice and daughter of J. R. and Mary Gard, after an illness of 2 years of that dread disease consumption. Deceased was born in Cass County, Illinois, August 27, 1863 and when but a child she removed with her parents too Jackson County, Missouri, and later to Neosho County, Kansas. Orpha A. Rice born September 14, 1890 and died Apri1 2, 1902 at the age of 11 years, 6 months, 19 days. His mother died when he was five years old leaving him to the care of his grandparents. He was in front of a disc and the horses started up and threw him under it and injured his spine and he never recovered but suffered 4 years until his death.
