Walker M. BUTT, 88, Denver, died at 10:48 p.m. Monday at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru. He was born Dec. 14, 1900 in Erie Township, Miami County, to Stephen A. and Nellie LESHER BUTT. On June 7, 1922 in Peru, he married Marjorie Elizabeth BISHOP. She survives. He was a retired farmer and building contractor; a member of the Denver United Methodist Church, and the Westlawn Cemetery Board. Surviving with the wife are a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Martha) SNYDER, Converse; two sons, Robert [BUTT], Macy, and Kenneth [BUTT], Peru; ten grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard [BUTT]; a granddaughter, Barbara Jean BUTT; two sisters, including Lena May WORKING; six brothers, Benjamin Franklin, Stephen Arch, Oscar, Clyde, William Dewey, and Joseph Russell [BUTT]. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the McCain Funeral Home, Denver, with the Rev. Douglas H. BARBER officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver. Friends may call Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
