Columbus Kleinsmith, aged 51, died at Clarkes of tuberculosis early Thursday morning. He had been ill of the disease for some time. He had been confined to his bed for about three weeks before his death. He was born in Lower Milford, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania the son of Anthony B. Kleinschmidt Sr. and Judith (Bartholomew). The funeral will be held today at his home in Clarkes. Mr. Kleinsmith leaves a wife and two grown daughters. He was well known throughout Clackamas County and a highly respected resident of Clarkes where he was a prosperous famer. He settled 14 years ago at Clarkes, coming from Illinois. His death is regretted by all who knew him.
