Marlene, 78, died at 2:05 p.m., at Lima Memorial Health System.

She was the daughter of Hubert and Fern (Folk) Golden. On Nov. 28, 1950, she married Ralph R. Bassitt, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons: Ralph R. Jr. (Carol), Vine Grove, KY, and Michael W. (Laura), Harrod; two daughters: Linda (Cary) Childs and Denise Courtney, both Lima; a brother, Thomas P. (Mary), Lima; and seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Deceased are two brothers: Paul Golden and Duane Lehman; and two sisters: Jean Klein and Phyllis Kissling.

A homemaker, she had been a member of Living Word Chapel, Lima. She was a member of Lafayette-Jackson Township Garden Club and the Lafayette-Jackson Historical Society. She had been a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 Auxiliary, Lima. She was a volunteer at Plus Healthcare Center and was an avid bowler.

Services will be at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Randy Davis officiating.
