In 1857 Henry was elected judge of the Court of Common Pleas. Henry's first law partner was William McMurray of McMurray & Hilton Law Firm. Henry's children were Henry Grahm Jr., Edward B., Albert B., Frederick, Cornelia who married John M. Hughes, and Josephine who married Horace Russell. Henry's brothers were James, Joseph, and Archibald. Henry was known most by his representation of and close friendship with the famous merchant prince, A.T. Stewart.
