Jean was a homemaker all her life and a member of Kingsway Cathedral. Jean received enormous enjoyment from her family and her love of animals. She also enjoyed attending the Iowa State Fair every year.
Jean is survived by her two sons, Gary (Carol) Batterton and Donald (Donna) Batterton; two daughters, Carol (Dean) Morris and Sharon (Ron) Putney, all of Des Moines; three brothers, Keith Adair of Garden Grove, Doyle Adair of Banning, CA, and Miles Adair of Mt.Ary; three sisters, Glenna McClain of Sheridan,OR, Marjorie Davis of Des Moines and Marilyn Porter of Polk City; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Henry Batterton.
