Obituary - The Glasgow Weekly Times, April 19, 1901, Front page.
Mrs Mildred Parker, wife of Mr T.J. Parker, departed this life on the 9th of this month at 11:30 o'clock. She had been in failing health for some time. Mrs Parker was the daughter of the late Mr John Walton, and was born and raised on the farm now owned by Mr Tommie Walton, near Goodnight, where she was buried. Mrs Parker was born July 30th, 1825, and was married to Mr T.J. Parker April 4, 1844. There were born to them 13 children, and out of that number 10 are living - 6 boys and 4 girls - all married. She leaves a husband, 78 years old, and 10 children to morn her death. She professed religion at the age of 13 years, but never joined any church. She said before her death that she was ready and dreaded nothing beyond the grave. BACKWOODS BOY. (contributor)
