John Henry Jr., 83, formerly of Crown City, Ohio, husband of Lula Mae Johnson Henry, died July 27, 2012, in Gaston Hospice Robin Johnson House, Dallas, NC.
He was born March 4, 1929, in Crown City, Ohio, the son of the late John and Stella Stover Henry.
He retired from owning and operating a truck and marine refrigeration business.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Willis Funeral Home, Gallipolis, Ohio. Burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Mercerville, Ohio.
Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

John Henry, Jr., 83, of Dallas, North Carolina, formerly of Crown City, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012, at the Gaston Hospice Robin Johnson House in Dallas, North Carolina.
He was born March 4, 1929, in Crown City, Ohio, the son of the late John and Stella Stover Henry. In 1957, he moved to South Florida and worked for several companies there. In 1968, he started his own truck and marine refrigeration business and in later years his son worked with him. When he retired in 1997, his son ran the business. In 2005, he and his wife moved to Dallas, North Carolina.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Lula Mae (Johnson) Henry of Dallas, North Carolina; three children, Joyce (Ron) Ferguson of Round Rock, Texas, Pamela (Tony) Giarla of Seymour, Connecticut, and John H. (Tracie) Henry of Belmont, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Greg Ellis, Jessica Mulligan, Michael Ferguson, Sarah (Michael) Kuhn, Danny Mulligan, Chris Henry and Chad Henry; five great-grandchildren, Sidney, Owen, Mikie, Kylee and Patrick; and one sister-in-law Hazel (Lawrence) Henry.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Henry and Stanley Henry; four sisters, Mable Sheets, Elsie Gothard, Ethel Pye and Pauline Knapp; a great grandson, Ryan; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charlie and Freda Johnson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2012, at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, August 2, 2012, from 6-8 p.m.
