HUNTERSVILLE — Steven Bradley "Brad" Shaffer, 53, of Huntersville, died June 7, 2012 at his home. He was born on August 17, 1958 in Rockingham County, NC to Aldine and Dorothy Oakley Shaffer of Madison, NC. He worked as an insurance adjustor for Delhalize America. Brad was a member of Davidson United Methodist Church. He loved to garden and watch his Carolina Panthers.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of 30 years, Nell Lancaster Shaffer; son, Nathan Bradley Shaffer of Charlotte; daughter, Erin Alece Shaffer of Charlotte; sister, Denise Williams of Christiansburg, VA; mother-in-law, Alece Lancaster of Winston-Salem; brother-in-laws, Harry, Charlie and Will Lancaster; three nephews and two nieces; and his beloved dog Lily.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Music Ministry at Davidson United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 718 Davidson, NC 28036.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Davidson United Methodist Church with Rev. Jody Seymour officiating. Visitation will follow at the church.
