Anna was the daughter of Johann Hinrich Lewerenz and Anna Maschmann Lewerenz. She married to Eduard Schnack on 10 November 1895 at Stellingen, Hamburg, Germany. He immigrated to America in 1906 and she joined him in 1907 with their three young children. They had one other child who predeceased their immigration. One more child was born to them after they made their home in New York. They lived briefly at Fairfield Township of Middleville Village, New York but soon saved enough to buy their own farm at Oppenheim where they lived the remainder of their lives.
