WILMA E. MCDONALD, 80, of 1836 Fifth Ave SE, died Tuesday in Mercy Medical Center following a long illness. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Turner Chapel West, where friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday. Burial: Olin Cemetery, Olin.

Survivors include two sons, Lanny, Arcadia, Okla., and Douglas, Cedar Rapids; three daughters, Corinne Strong, Oklahoma City, Barbara Lagerquist, Cedar Rapids and Sue Collins, Concordia, Kan.; and six sisters, Ellen Kroemer, Bella Vista, Ark., Mildred Staab, Cedar Rapids, Marcella Batchelder, Olin, Ruth Andre, Torrance, Calif., and Patricia Johnson and Janice Swanson, both of Anamosa.
Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Born Sept. 23, 1910, in Olin, to Perry and Mary Murfield Archibald, she married Orville McDonald there July 1, 1933. He died Nov. 4, 1980. She graduated from Cornell College, Mount Vernon, in 1930 and taught in rural schools. Mrs. McDonald was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Gilbert Dawes of Faith United Methodist Church will officiate. Memorials to American Diabetes Association, 2735 First Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids 52403.
