Kenneth C. Bauer Sr., 90, of 1123 Wilson Ave., Kittanning, died Sunday, March 22, 1998 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township. He was born Dec. 9, 1907 in Kittanning to Christian and Nettie (Clark) Bauer. Mr. Bauer was retired since 1972 from Bauer Block Company, where he was employed as plant manager, having 46 years of service. He was a member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, Kittanning. He was a member of the Kittanning B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge. He is survived by two sons, Robert H. Bauer and Kenneth C. Bauer Jr., both of Kittanning; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Betty Lou) Schreckengost of Kittanning; one stepson, Ronald Held of Charleston, W.Va.; one stepdaughter, Carolyn Klugh of Kittanning; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Verna Henry of Meadville. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Belle Irene (Henry) Bauer, who died on Aug. 12, 1963; his second wife, Martha (Libengood) Bauer, who died on May 9, 1991; one son, William L. Bauer, who died on March 24, 1997; three brothers, Clarence R. Bauer, who died on Nov. 3, 1969, Amberson C. Bauer, who died on May 3, 1992 and Richard E. Bauer, who died on May 20, 1989; and two sisters, Helen Bauer, who died on March 10, 1985 and Kathryn M. Schrecengost, who died on Nov. 30, 1994. BAUER – Friends of Kenneth C. Bauer St., 90, of 1123 Wilson Ave., Kittanning, who died March 22, 1998, will be received from 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bauer’s, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. with his pastor, the Rev. John W. Snyder, officiating. Interment will take place in Kittanning Cemetery, Rayburn Township. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s United Church of Christ. Arrangements by Bauer.
