Born March 29, 1921 at Range to Edna (Driscoll) and Edgar Pierson, he was a WWII and Korean War veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps. Vernon was a bachelor and never married. He lived with his Mother Edna all his life except while in the service.
After returning to Hardesty, he was employed by Swift Packing Plant in Guymon.
Vernon loved to read and study about WWII. He spent much of his leasure time reading.
The immediate family have all now passed away as of 2010. Nieces and nephews and one Brother-In-Law remains.
He was the oldest son.
