On the 24th of February, 1887, Mr. Clarence Hargrave was united in Marriage to Miss Ida R. Oxley, who was born in Ohio, January 22, 1863. Mrs. Hargrave is a lady of fine education and engaged in teaching previous to her marriage. Having no children, they adopted a son, Donald L. Hargrave, who was born November 1, 1887. He married Miss Jessie L. VanHorn, a native of Louisa county, Iowa, born November 26, 1890. She is a daughter of Jesse VanHorn and Eugenia Smith.
