GODFREY SCHUMACHER

Godfrey Schumacher, 61, a foreman at the Manitowoc Portland Cement company, died at the Holy Family hospital at 2 a.m. today after a short illness. Mr. Schumacher's home is in Manitowoc Rapids.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home, in charge of the Odd Fellows. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Schumacher was born on Nov. 24, 1882 in Manitowoc and lived in the city for 25 years and then he moved to Rapids. He was married to Mrs. Ida Oswald (sic) 21 years ago and she survives with one daughter, Ruth; two brothers, Chris, Phelps, Wis., and William, Manitowoc; 8 sisters, Mrs. Tony Luger and Mrs. Joseph Kornely, both of Phelps; Mrs. Albert Vaclavik, Antigo; Mrs. William Lueck, Marshfield; Mrs. August Yager, Clintonville; Mrs. William Oetzel, Sheboygan; Mrs. Harry Belonger and Miss Irma Schumacher, both of Milwaukee.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home from Friday noon until the time of services Saturday.
