IDA SCHUMACHER

(1888 • 1964)


Mrs. Ida Schumacher, 76, who had resided with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James Golding, of 1707 Green St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly at the home Saturday morning. She had a coronary attack.


Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church. The Rev. D. L. Krembs will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.


The former Ida Nuhs was born Feb. 12, 1888, at Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of the late Henry and Mary Van Zon Nuhs. A lifelong Manitowoc County resident, she was married in 1906 to Mathias Ourada. He died Nov. 24, 1914. She was married to Godfrey Schumacher in 1923. He died Feb. 4, 1935. Mrs. Schumacher was a member of St. Theresa Society of St. Andrew Church and the Golden Agers.


Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Ruth) Golding, of Manitowoc, and four grandchildren. A daughter, Naomi Ourada, died Dec. 20, 1934, a son died in infancy and two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.


Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. by members of the parish and St. Theresa Society.
