"Funeral services were held Sunday, January 7 at the Bressler Funeral Home for Richard Asbury, 26 of Allen. Rev. Phyllis Hickman officated. Interment was in the Eastview Cemetery at Allen. Herbert Ellis sang "How Great Thou Art" accompanied by Mrs. R. E. Paulson. Pallbearers were Lawrence Lindahl, Clifford Gotch, Wilmer Benstead and Russell Roberts. Richard Asbury was born February 12, 1941 to Frank and Lois Asbury in Ponca. He lived all his life in the Allen community and died Friday, January 5, at his home after a week's illness. Survivors include his parents and his grandmother Mrs. Mary Johnson of Allen."
