Rites Pending For Mrs. Elmore
May Elmore, 69, 306 S. Sixth, died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stanley Davies, in Fremont, Calif., where she had been visiting the past few weeks.
She was born July 17, 1898, in Keosauqua, the daughter of George and Lucy Garrett Miles. She was reared and educated in Jefferson county.
In 1915 she was married to Carl Carlson at Fairfield. She had been a resident of the Fairfield Community most all of her life. She attended the Methodist Church and was a member of the Degree of Honor.
The following children survive: Mrs. Lucy Davies, Fremont, Calif.; George Carlson, Round Up, Mont.; Mrs. Ida Mae Lee, Fairfield; Jack Carlson, Fairfield; and Mrs. Mary Ruth Olson, Burlington; along with 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Otto Miles, Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Kreese (sic. Hazel Kriese), Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. George Hagans, Fairfield.
The body is being returned to the Raymond Funeral Home where last rites are pending.
