Deceased Name: Lessie Delean Nettles -- Orangeburg
Lessie Delean Nettles, 85, of 824 Crestline, Orangeburg, died July 29, 2012, died Sunday at Laurel Baye Health Care Center in Orangeburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Rivelon Baptist Church in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Frank Hay and the Rev. Kevin Ard officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Neeses.
Pallbearers will be Joey Christopher, Pinky Christopher, Benji Gray, Jimmy Martin, Buck Crim and David Bair.
She was born Jan. 21, 1927, in Orangeburg, the daughter of the late Johnny Chester Boltin and the late Julia Lee Walling Boltin. She was the widow of the late Esdorn Nettles and was preceded in death by brothers Walter Eugene Boltin, John Henry Boltin, Rufus Ralph Boltin and Artis Thelzy Boltin, and sisters Chrystolee Carrigg, Annie Mae Champy, Doris Lourean Edwards, Minnie Rae Derrick and Peggy Sinclair Dukes.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Reedy (Gwen) Jackson of Orangeburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth (Loretta) Nettles of Rowesville; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild and four step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012, at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Memorials may be made to Community Home Care Hospice, 1890 St. Matthews Road, Orangeburg, SC 29118, or to Rivelon Baptist Church, 395 Rivelon Road, Orangeburg, SC 29115.
