Rosemarie Fern (Novak) Wood, age 57 of Spokane died July 30, 2005 at her home. She was born July 7, 1948 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to John and Fern (Stibbe) Novak. She moved to Coeur d' Alene with her family as a child, attended St. Thomas School, and graduated from I.H.M. Academy. She moved to Portland after graduation to pursue a modeling career and then made her home in Spokane. Our mother, sister, and friend left us suddenly. There are no words to describe how much she will be missed. Rea loved nature and wild flowers were her favorite. She loved long walks and cooking. Her passion was reading and collecting books and her constant companion and best friend was her dog, Sheba.
She is survived by sons, Bryce Novak of Olympia, WA and Jeffrey Wood and his wife, Mindy of Spokane; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Dixie Novak of Davenport, WA and Brad and Kerry Novak of Rathdrum, ID; sisters, Pam of Spokane and Judy Krueger and her husband, Wes of Coeur d' Alene; and several nieces and nephews.
A vigil service will be 7:00 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2005 at St. Pius Church. The memorial mass will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 8, 2005 at St. Pius Catholic Church in Coeur d' Alene.
