Miss Jane Fitzgerald, 74, native and former resident of the Garryowen neighborhood in southeastern Washington county, died Saturday in Omaha, where she had lived more than 30 years.
Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Fitzgerald pioneers at Garryowen.
she is survived by a brother John H, Fitzgerald and a sister Mrs. Ellen Leehy, both of Omaha. Miss Fitzgerald had raised John and Dorothy, the children of her brother, Tom, after his death.
Rites were held at 9 a.m. Monday at St Philip Neri Catholic church in Florence, interment following in St Mary's cemetery. Six nephews served as pallbearers. They were James, John J., Dan and Edward Fitzgerald, all of Garryowen and Leo Fitzgerald and Francis Leehy, both of Omaha.
