Born in Ballinran, Kilkeel, Co. Down, Ireland. Came to America from Liverpool, England in 1906. Worked in Goldberg Bowen Deli in SF, CA and then homesteaded in Sites, Colusa Co, CA. He married Alice Ormsby of Liverpool, England in 1903 in Liverpool. They had 3 children before they came to the USA and then had 5 more after coming to CA. They are both buried in St Mary's Cemetery, Sacramento, CA. I am his grand daughter.
