Daniel Johnson was the son of Joseph Edward Johnson and Lena Sofia Swenson of Redwood County Minnesota. Daniel's siblings included : Sharon, Earl, Lillian, Raymond, Inez, Robert and Helen. Daniel moved out to California in the 1940's where he worked in the Orange Groves of Orange County, Ford Motor Company and also at Douglas Aircraft during WWII. That is where he met his wife Cathaleen Cline. It was said that the moment he caught sight of her he knew he was going to marry her. His friends from work told him that he was crazy so he walked up to her and asked her out...3 months later they were married. They were happily married for 65 years before Daniel passed away. Grandpa proudly served in the US Navy from 1944-1947, during WWII. He then worked at Marine Air Craft Base- El Toro until retirement in the mid 1980s. He had 3 children: Jimmy, Linda Kathleen and Deborah, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is buried right next to his beloved wife, Cathaleen "Kay" Johnson, at the Anaheim Cemetery.
