Born March 7, 1920, in Walnut Ridge, he was the son of Louis E. and Gussie Watson Jarrett. Mr. Jarrett was a farmer, a former member of the quartets the Jordanairs and the Sunlighters, and a member of United Free Will Baptist Church.
Mr. Jarrett was united in marriage to Jewell Ann Mayberry on Feb. 4, 1942.
Mr. Jarrett is survived by his wife, Jewell Jarrett of the home; a son, Terry Jarrett of Walnut Ridge; a daughter, Sandra Gipson of Pocahontas; a brother, Dwain Jarrett of Walnut Ridge; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at United Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Hendrix and Bro. Dale Blackwell officiating.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Tom Jarrett, Ronald Mosier, Gregg Jarrett, Jeff O'Donald, Karl Schoeneman and Don Winfrey. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Jarrett, Bill Carson and Larry Cook.
Interment will be in the Randolph Memorial Gardens at Pocahontas under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.
Visitation will be tonight from 6-8.
