Alaine M. Killingsworth, 88, Springfield, formerly of Ash Grove, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Thursday in James River Healthcare Center. She was a native of Willard and a lifelong resident of Ash Grove and Springfield areas. She was a homemaker and a retired sales clerk employed with Town and Country Clothing, Springfield, for 10 years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of Center Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Joyce and Kenneth Fitzpatrick; and a grandson, Timothy Fitzpatrick, all of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband William Penn Killingsworth, in 1960; her parents William and Flora Fugate; a sister, Verba Lee Fugate; a brother, Chester Fugate; and an infant daughter, Flora Sue Killingsworth. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Wilson-Brim-Daniel Funeral Chapel, Ash Grove, with the Rev. John R. Perryman officiating. Burial will be in Mouth Pleasant Cemetery, Willard. Friends may call at their convenience prior to services today in the funeral home.
