"Requiem High Mass for Charles William Brown, 81, of 218 Rock Street, Westernport, who died early yesterday morning in Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, will be celebrated Saturday morning in St. Gabriel Church, Barton. Interment will take place in St. Peter Cemetery, Westernport.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Kelly, Wayne Raines, Joseph Boyce, Paul Raysinger, Ellis Burke and Joseph Thompson.
The body is at Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, where The Rosary will be recited tomorrow, Friday, at 8 p.m. Friends will be received at the funeral home tonight from 7 until 9 o'clock and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m.
Born in Barton, Mr. Brown was a son of the late Harmon and Christina (Weebler) Brown. He learned his trade as a machinist in the old B. and O. shops in Piedmont and later moved to Baltimore where he was employed at the B. and O. Riverside shops. He was retired 11 years ago after being employed by the railroad for 59 years.
Mr. Brown was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Westernport, and of the B. and O. Old Vets Club of Baltimore.
The last surviving member of his immediate family, he is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Veronica Laffey of Westernport, and Mrs. Katherine Montgomery of Baltimore; three nephews, Harry, Lloyd and James A. Welsh, all of Westernport."
