Nettie Aycock White

Nettie Aycock White, 91 of Port Neches, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2005 in Spring Branch, Texas. Funeral and Eastern Star services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Broussard's in Nederland with the Reverend David Mahfouz and the Port Neches Eastern Star officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 5 to 8pm at the mortuary.

Mrs. White was a native of Port Arthur and has been a lifelong resident of Port Neches. Mrs. White was a well known artist. She was a member of the Port Neches Eastern Star, the Nederland Art Guild, the Lonestar Art Guild of Texas, and had numerous awards for her art. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Nederland.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Morris A. White, brothers, Joe Aycock, Elmer Aycock, Puzz Aycock, and Jay Aycock, and Bill Aycock. Also her sisters, Laura Goodwin, Shelton Dean, Margaret Duhon, and Katherine Cooper.

She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Maurine Howard of Kemah, and brother, Bill Aycock of Bon Weir. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children Burns Hospital, 815 Market St. Galveston, Texas 77550-9969. 505 12th St Nederland, Texas (409) 722-3456 broussardsmortuary.com
