David L. Riggins, 39, of Peninsula, beloved husband of Maureen (nee Duffey); dear son of Junior and Wilma (nee Zinn) of Peninsula; dear brother of Roger Riggins of Tallmadge and Larry Riggins of Cuyahoga Falls, died Tuesday evening. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 1992, at the Peninsula United Methodist Church. Calling hours were held at the Johnson-Romito Funeral Home in Hudson. Burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Peninsula.
Dave was an outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a certified scuba diver.
He was a veteran of the Viet Nam conflict serving in the U.S. Navy. At the time of his death Dave was employed by the Girl Scouts of America, working at Camp Ledgewood in Peninsula. A tree was planted at Camp Ledgewood in his memory.
