Antone Backes of nearby Loose Creek is in dangerous condition with tetanus, known generally as lock-jaw. About two months ago Mr. Backes, while in the field at work, stepped on some obstacles which caused inflammation in his foot. He did not regard the injury as serious until weeks later, when he consulted a physician about soreness in his throat. His condition now is very critical.
