"The Cumberland Times" Cumberland, Maryland, Wed 15 Oct 1958: "PIEDMONT W. Va.-Mrs. Alberta Stuart Bissett, 65, former resident, died yesterday in Arlington (Va,) hospital where she had been a patient 10 days. Mrs. Bissett had been residing with a niece, Mrs. Bernard Schwinabart, Dunn Loring, Va., for the past four years. Born at Harper's Ferry, she was a daughter of the late Mrs. Teresa (Leavy) LaRue, Piedmont and the late Henry LaRue (note: this is incorrect-the name should be Henry Stuart). She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport. Her husband, Joseph Bissett preceded her in death. Surviving are five brothers: William, Piedmont; Raymond, Hamilton; Louis, Beryl; Clyde, Pinto; and Richard LaRue, Westernport, and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph McGreevy, of here and Mrs. Margaret Kooken, Westernport. The body will be returned to the Fredlock Funeral Home, here. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home tomorrow at 8 p.m. A requiem mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery."

"The Herald" Piedmont, West Virginia Thursday, 23 Oct 1958: "Requiem high mass for Mrs. Alberta Stuart Bissett, 65, formerly of Piedmont, who died October 14 in the Arlington Hospital, Arlington, Va., was celebrated Friday morning in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport. The Rev. Charles H. Quinn, assistant pastor, was celebrant. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Joseph, Harold, Robert, Stuart and Ray McGreevy and Bernard Schwinabart, all nephews."
