Phillip G. Brown, 77, Marengo, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 9:31 p.m. in Marengo.

Born May 11, 1932, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Wilbur Brown and Ruth Mann Brown.

He was retired from Skyline Industries in Huntingburg, an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Indianapolis, VFW Post of French Lick and the Shriner's of Indianapolis.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Brown; two sons, Robert Walton and Vayne Cecil Jr.; and a daughter, Linda Jean Harkness.

Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Fern Agan; two daughters, Helen Gilliatt of Columbus and Dorothy Beber of Rossville; a sister, Beverly Sibert of Lanesville; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friday, May 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli.

Funeral: Saturday, May 8, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Paoli Community Cemetery.

Officiant: The Rev. Steve Lock.

Military service: Provided by Orleans American Legion Post.
