MILITARY: John Duncan Kincheloe served as a Private in the 89th Infantry, Company B in battle at Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee (Franklin-Nashville Campaign /1864) American Civil War (Dec 5-7 1864). He was discharged 1 March 1865 with wounds. The Company engaged in 7 battles in KY, TN and GA. Information obtained from "Saline County, IL, Soldiers of the Civil War" by Don Boyd, 1977, published by Evansville Bindery, Inc., Evansville, IN 47711.
