Gene Ervine

Norman Eugene Ervine, 25, died Saturday of injuries he suffered in an automobile accident last Wednesday.

He was a long time resident of Connersville and had made his home with his grandparents, Andrew and Minne B. Hopkins Ervine at 2315 Iowa Ave.

Besides his Grandparents he is survived by a wife, Betty L., and a daughter, Diana. His Mother, Clarine Cullison.

Services will be Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.

Norman Ervine, 25, 2315 Iowa Ave. is in critical condition in Fayette Memorial Hospital as a result of injuries suffered in an auto acciden at 2:50 a.m. today on Central between Sixteenth and Seventeenth Streets. The attending phsician told the family chances of survival were poor. His skull is fractured in four places, one ear torn off and the other almost severed. One eye was badly injured when his car crashed into a tree and turned over after hitting some hedge at the William Davis resident. Apparently the car went out of control when he tried to make a turn. He is the son of Clarine Cullison of this city and had been living with his Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Ervine. His wife formerly Betty Lou Longnecker,along with their daughter, Diana Kay, had been staying in Cambridge City temporarily and was called here after the accident. He was formerly employed as a City Cab driver at Bolender;s, He was taken to the hospital by city ambulance.
